Little Journey is UK based health-tech company, providing a preparation app for paediatric healthcare and life sciences. As an in-house Digital Product Designer, I was responsible for designing, testing and delivering accessible solutions for the Little Journey app, as part of an agile product team. Catering to neurodivergent children and their families who are often forgotten by mainstream systems, this app is the epitome of function over form, with accessibility and inclusivity being priority number one.

Collaborating closely with The LEGO Foundation (as part of their “Play For All” investment accelerator), I lead the design of a new, bespoke data driven feature for the app. The goal was to improve healthcare interactions for children, their caregivers and also the clinicians accommodating their hospital experiences, by collecting actionable data points for reasonable adjustments. As the app caters towards multiple user groups within the product, careful consideration was always required to ensure successful usability for each party.

While my priorities and specialisation lay within the realm of native app design, I also regularly contributed to web maintenance and CMS management for the Little Journey Health website, including a visual refresh of the whole site following the companies brand development.
In addition to my UX and product design work, I also contributed to a range of graphic design and marketing collateral to support hospital launch events, social media campaigns, app releases and conference visits.
